No mushroom picking

Respect Our Land. No Mushroom Picking, Please – Look but don’t pick

Beacon Wood Country Park is a privately owned woodland and the landowner is committed to protecting the fragile fungi ecosystem from the damage caused by indiscriminate harvesting by both commercial and personal pickers. The fungi on this land are a vital part of the local ecosystem and are crucial for forest health and the animals that rely on them.

Foraging and mushroom picking are strictly prohibited on this property without landowner permission. It is illegal to uproot or remove any wild plant or fungus from private land without consent (Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981)."

Collecting for commercial purposes is considered theft (Theft Act 1968)."
