Beacon Woods urgently needs volunteers!

The Friends of Beacon Woods Group are urgently looking for volunteers to help out with the the general maintenance and upkeep of the Country Park.  Whatever your skill, level of fitness or area of interest there is a job for you and an opportunty to meet new friends.

We are holding our AGM on Monday 19th May at 7pm at Bean Village Hall, High Street, please come along and join us.

 

Here are some of the things volunteers do:

 

Open the main gates every day

Empty the litter bins

Pick uplitter

Cur back site lines

Repair broken fences and fix damage caused by vandalism

Cur back vegetation

Make and repair woodland paths

Make, repair and weed steps

Remove invasive plants

Coppice area

Take regular photos of the wood;and

Fundraising.
